The I-Kube® Operator Workstation for Security Control Rooms
After equipping the security control room at the École du Louvre in Paris, we recently completed the design, manufacture, delivery, and installation of I-Kube® operator workstations for three other organisations: Citédia, GSK, and CH Simone Veil Hospital. These installations showcase the benefits and versatility of our I-Kube® workstations, specifically designed to meet the stringent demands of security control rooms.
Citédia: An Ergonomic and Optimised Solution for SCT Operators
About Citédia:
Citédia is a company based in Rennes that specialises in the management of both public and private facilities, including car parks, conference spaces, and cultural centres. As a major player in urban service management, the security and monitoring of infrastructure are top priorities.
Security Control Room with 2 I-Kube® Operator Workstations:
We delivered two concave I-Kube® operator workstations, each 2200 mm wide, specifically designed to accommodate four 24-inch monitors. This setup allows SCT operators to efficiently manage multiple information streams while maintaining an ergonomic posture, thanks to the concave design and the electric adjustment of both the monitors and the work surfaces. This design promotes optimal viewing and comfort during extended work periods.
Key Features:
- Adapted Width: 2200 mm for multi-screen management.
- Ergonomics: Concave design for a natural and comfortable monitor arrangement with electric adjustment.
CH Simone Veil Hospital: Maximum Display Capacity for Enhanced Monitoring
About CH Simone Veil Hospital:
Located in Eaubonne, in the Île-de-France region, CH Simone Veil Hospital is a leading public healthcare institution offering a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services. Security in this environment is crucial to ensure the protection of patients, staff, and sensitive medical information.
Security Control Room with 1 I-Kube® Workstation for 7 Monitors:
For CH Simone Veil Hospital, our team designed a fixed I-Kube® operator workstation, 3500 mm wide, with a curved shape. This workstation was configured to accommodate up to seven 22-inch monitors, enabling extensive and effective monitoring. To meet the specific needs of this environment, additional mounting brackets were added to the monitor support arm, capable of holding up to five mini-PCs. Furthermore, additional USB ports were integrated, providing enhanced connectivity for the operators.
Key Features:
- Display Capacity: Up to seven 22-inch monitors.
- Connectivity: Integrated USB ports for optimised peripheral management.
GSK: Flexibility and Comfort with Height-Adjustable Workstations
About GSK:
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, known for its commitment to public health through the research, development, and distribution of innovative medicines. The security of their facilities, including continuous monitoring of laboratories and production centres, is crucial to protect sensitive data and critical operations.
Security Control Room with 1 I-Kube® Operator Workstation for 4 Monitors:
At GSK, the need for flexibility and ergonomics was met with a 2200 mm wide I-Kube® operator workstation, featuring a 1000 mm deep work surface. This workstation is fully height-adjustable via electric controls, allowing users to work either seated or standing. Additionally, the support arm equipped with a single mast, also electrically adjustable, can hold four 24-inch monitors, offering a practical and flexible configuration for the operators.
Key Features:
- Space Optimisation: Large 1000 mm deep work surface.
- Adjustability: Electrically adjustable height and monitor support.
These recent installations once again demonstrate our team’s ability to provide bespoke I-Kube® operator workstations, perfectly tailored to the specific needs of security control rooms, regardless of our clients’ industries. Combining ergonomics, flexibility, and display capacity, I-Kube® workstations are essential equipment for any organisation looking to optimise its surveillance and control environments.
